Our History

AK Additions was founded by Flint Take in 1982. Flint learned carpentry from his father, and mastered the skill at a young age. His aptitude for carpentry led him to start his own business. Over the years, Flint expanded his expertise to cover painting, remodeling, and general contracting, which eventually led him to open Flint’s Home Improvements—which later on renamed to AK Additions.

Today, AK Additions continues to be a reliable home improvement company. Although Flint is still the one in-charge of operations, he has passed down the lead position to his son, Christopher, who is now the foreman.
